In my last blog I updated you all on the new role(Co-Mentoring a World Race Squad) that I have stepped into along with my current role as a World Race Advisor.
As I Co-Mentor B Squad with Amy(the Lead Mentor over B-Squad) there are several things that come with that role that are different than what I do now.
Now I am investing in the 19 people who are part of B-Squad not only at their Training Camp, but also as they travel on the field over the course of their 11 month long journey. I get to watch them from afar as they enjoy their World Race experience, but I also have the opportunity to meet them on the field several times over the course of their 11 month journey to facilitate debriefs.
We believe that as our people are on the field partnering with various ministries it is vital to make sure they take the time to process and debrief their experiences and to check in to be sure they are walking in places of spiritual, physical and emotional health.
This is why we facilitate Debriefs every few months throughout their 11 month journey. Typically several people from the World Race office go out to the field and meet up with the squad to facilitate the debriefs.
Debriefs include worship, teachings on topics that will challenge the racers in their faithwalk, time to debrief their experiences as a team and individuals from the past few months, time for us to minister to those that need it and overall make sure the squad is operating in a place of physical, emotional and spiritual health.
If we see areas of unhealth we address those issues and provide guidance to get people back on track.
For us as the staff, going out on the field it is a time of pouring out to the squad and their leadership.
For the squad it is a time of rest, processing and worship.
This is what I am excited most about in this new role as a World Race Co-Mentor! I absolutely love the face to face time I get with World Racers at their training camp, but now I get to continue building those relationships all year with B-Squad!
…to walk alongside them
…to encourage them
…to challenge them
…to love them.
And it is in this that I need your help. Right now I fundraise $6,000/year to do my job.
A job that I truly love.
A job the I look forward to doing everyday.
A job that fulfills so many of my passions and desires.
However this new role I am stepping into is going to require me to do additional fundraising to cover the cost of me going out onto the field to meet up and pour into B-Squad throughout this year.
I want to invite each of you to prayerfully consider partnering with me in this new season of discipleship and stewardship.
I am looking for people to financially and prayerfully partner with me monthly moving forward.
While I appreciate any and all gifts that the Lord places on your heart to give, what I desire is sustainability in my support raising year over year. I have been at Adventures in Missions for 5 years now and I believe the Lord will have me for many years to come.
I am looking for people to partner with me at $25, $50, $75 or $100/month with a tax deductible donation.
I am truly blessed to be able to do what I do. To follow the call on my life to love, serve and lead others in their faithwalk, and it is people like you who pray and support me financially that equip me to do such things.
I have been fundraising for the past 7 years in order to follow my heart in where the Lord has been leading me, and I would not trade a single second of it for anything.
The amount that I have grown and matured in my faith, in my walk as a man of God, in my emotional, spiritual and physical health is nothing short of amazing.
I can honestly say that I don’t recognize the person 7 years ago before I had my World Race experience.
Since moving down to Gainesville, Ga to work for Adventures in Missions, I have looked back each year and have been continually amazed at how the Lord has grown and changed me.
I know that this new season the Lord is leading me into is going to be the same, but I need your help to make it happen.
You can make your Tax Exempt Donation in the link below as a one time or Monthly reoccurring donation via, credit card, debit card or bank draft.
